Bible (Serbian) in the Danicic-Karadzic translation

No Bible translation has sparked as much initial controversy—and later gained such reverence—as the Danicic-Karadzic translation of the Holy Scriptures. Over the course of nearly 150 years, this version has become a cornerstone of Serbian literacy and biblical tradition. Priests, bishops, and patriarchs of the Serbian Church have turned to its pages to study the truths of Scripture. Generations have learned to read from it, carried it into battle, and drawn strength and comfort from its words in times of hardship. When it was first published, even illiterate parents purchased copies in the hope that their children would one day be able to read God's message for themselves.
