The mind, soul and spirit of a person can be enslaved and bound. Many of the enslaved are not even aware of their chains caused by unbelief. Many dream of freedom. God purposes us to be free and he offers us the possibility of escaping our spiritual chains. Christ said, “You will know the truth and the truth will set you free.” Christ wants to free us from our egotistical immoralities; our selfish desires that often result in destruction and more bondage. The cross of Christ focuses on God’s answer to man’s need for life and freedom.
