What future awaits the Lord’s Church? When all the forces of evil turn against God and His children, what should the disciples of Christ do?

In his commentary on the Book of Revelation, Richard Rogers describes how Satan tried to destroy the children of God in the days of the Roman Empire. The Romans killed Christians in large numbers and it seemed that the devil would win. John, the author of the Book of Revelation, saw “the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained” (Revelation 6:9).

The author assures Christians that those who died in the Lord are not defeated, but simply rest from their labors. They are before the throne of God and will never be hungry and thirsty again. In the end, the Church will triumph and Satan will be defeated, but before that happy moment arrives, the disciples of Christ must be faithful even unto death.

Today, Christians need this book as much as those in the first century. They long for the day, when the father of lies will cease to exist. They are engaged in spiritual warfare, which began in the first century. Seeing the moral and spiritual degradation of our society, each one needs to choose who to follow: Christ or Satan.

We also can choose our eternal destiny. Let this book help you choose a relationship with Jesus.
